Teach Your Children Well Logo
Promotional Logo for a GSK Program
GlaxoSmithKline tasked our agency to create a program that gathered their many brands under one umbrella. This program was to kick off during the back to school time period. Our team had to figure out what weight loss products, smoking cessation products, and oral care products all had in common. Then we had to determine how this commonality fit into a back-to-school theme.

The result was "Teach Your Children Well", a program that encouraged parents to improve their lives. Not for their sake, but for the sake of their impressionable children. I wasn't a fan of the name, but after doodling on a pad during an unrelated meeting (sorry, other clients), the idea that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree caught hold of me.
The result is this very simple logo.

The minimally keen observer will notice that the tree and the apple are the exact same graphic at different scales.
London Shriners Logo
2019 logo for a fake football team not actually based in London
I've played fantasy football with a group of former colleagues for well over 10 years now. It feels good to get that off my chest. For reasons now unknown to me, I named my team the Shriners. Since I lived in London for 3 of these years, I decided the not-at-all real club should be based there. The resulting logo is how I figured American football, London and freemasonry would naturally come together.

I was also looking for an excuse to illustrate Winston Churchill.
Wrath of Hahn Sriracha Sauce
2016 Edition Packaging Graphic
I have a multi-talented old high school buddy who creates batches of his own
Sriracha sauce. It's called Wrath of Hahn.
Mr. Hahn sent out an art brief for his 2016 batch over social media.
He asked his artist friends for a badass bird.
So, I immediately thought of the least badass bird I could imagine, then set to work making it the most badass bird I could imagine.
Wrath of Hahn Sriracha Sauce
2014 Edition Packaging Graphic
This is a graphic for a food aficionado pal of mine who crafts small batches of Sriracha hot sauce. The amazing product is called “Wrath of Hahn." The brief, which went out to friends via Facebook, called for a design featuring a "hipster rooster".
I saw the brief the evening before art was needed for packaging production. The nonplussed bird above was delivered two hours after getting the call for entries.
Zoo Atlanta Summer Tracks Logo
Pitch logo for an after-hours zoo program that was never to be
Zoo Atlanta wanted to run some summer programs to attract visitors after-hours. One idea was to hold evening concerts on the grounds. Zoo Atlanta Summer Tracks was born.

A mother and baby panda were the main draw at Zoo Atlanta, so they became the hero of the logo.
Life Chocolate Oat Crunch Cereal Graphic
Graphic for a promotional t-shirt
Remember when Life Cereal added nuggets of antioxidant-rich dark chocolate?
Neither does anyone else.

For the launch of this new product, some marketing folks sent shirts to celebrities in the hopes that they'd get worn publicly and photographs would appear in highbrow magazines like People. People magazine readers everywhere would then see this shirt, and run out to buy Life Chocolate Oat Crunch Cereal. It wasn't my idea. Anyhow, the shirt needed a graphic that hinted at the arrival of Life's new SKU.

The ham-fisted type treatment is a tip-off to the fact that I was still getting comfortable with Adobe Illustrator.

In fairness, it was a decent cereal. And right now, a thrift shop near Beverly Hills could be carrying a shirt with my logo on it, thanks to a generous donation by Reese Witherspoon.
